The DACA Law
The Dreamers
Immigrants who pursue the American dream in many cases with immigrant parents as well. They came to the United States as children and many of them discover in their adolescence that they did so illegally, seeking to get out of the legal limbo in which they find themselves.
- The conflict:
The Dreamers They are young undocumented immigrants who were born abroad but brought to the United States as children. When a child is born in the United States, they become a US citizen from the moment they are born. This is called US citizenship by right.
But if that child is born in any other part of the world, it does not obtain US citizenship by right. So if the parents come to the United States without legal entry and bring their child, the child grows up in the United States without US citizenship or any other legal status.
That is where the story begins, there are millions of young people whose parents brought them to the United States as children, who do not share the same legal protection as their friends and neighbors who were born here.
You don't have to navigate immigration law alone

On October 5, 2022, the federal judge upheld his decision that DACA is illegal, but did not stop the current application process, leaving the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to continue processing. the requests.
